Hi,

we are using phonegap to create an app for android and ios.
Our Application shall be an Overlay for another App X (like the facebook-messenger, a small button on the screen).
It is not nessecary that our App is on top of everything, it only has to be always on top of App X.

I found out that this behaviour is called 'Draw over other Apps' in Android and needs a permission.
I searched the phonegap/cordova plugins, but i didnt find a plugin for this.

1. Is there a plugin for my needs which i simply didnt find?
2. If there is none, do i have to write a plugin for such a behavior?
3. Is an Overlay also possible on ios?

Can anyone help me please?

1. I don't know. Did you search http://plugins.cordova.io?

2. Yes. Though I'm not familiar enough with how that would work to tell you where to start. Sorry. :-(

3. No. iOS does not permit any app to overlay another in the manner of Facebook Messenger. In fact, FB Messenger doesn't even get to do this on iOS. Furthermore, please don't do this on Android -- it's a horrible end-user experience because inevitably you will cover something up that the user needs to interact with.

Thank you for your answer.

Yes i searched on http://cordova.apache.org/plugins/. I also looked on http://phonegap-plugins.com/. And i googled half a day.
It would be great if there would be already a plugin, so i dont have to write it with my liddle knowledge.
