Hi,

I have been experimenting the same problem.

I have built my PhoneGap app using 1.9 for iOS first, then moved the code to Android. I tested it in both the AVD of the Google Nexus and Nexus 7. I have a Galaxy Nexus at home on 4.0.2 and it works flawlessly. After publishing it to the Google Play Store, friends reported that exact same problem with their Nexus 7 and the Galaxy Nexus on 4.0.3.

Have you tried with PhoneGap 2.0? I will have to try it this week as I've run out of ideas. Sad thing, is that I have to update all my plugins and some code too.

Thanks!

I'm also facing this, on Android 2.3 (either in emulator, or on an HTC Desire S).

Anyone have any fixes for this, or pointers to where I should look?

After upgrading my jQuery Mobile based Phonegap app from 1.8.1 to 1.9.0, the virtual keyboard no longer works.  When I run my app on my Acer tablet which is running Android 4.0.3, tapping on an input element displays the virtual keyboard but all keyboard taps are ignored.  Specifically, no input shows up inside the input elements.  Phonegap 1.8.1 works fine.

Hi,

After upgrading to Phonegap 2.0, it resolves the problem. However, I now have issues with some regular expressions I was using, but that's another story...

Huh.  Funny that.

I've just upgraded my Android App to Cordova 2.1, and the virtual keyboard has stopped working.

It was working fine on 2.0........
