Retry requesting the content if proxy server returned error

Hi all,

I'm using phantomjs with proxy. Every now and then my proxy server fails returning some of inner contents of the pages. Is there a way, where I can tell phantomjs to try proxy for each request, but if proxy server responded with error, retry requesting the content without using proxy?

Also I compiled phantomjs from source, so if there is no way I can do this by script, can someone point me to the section of code responsible for this, to try and change the code to make this happen?
