Hi All,

I am using phantomjs webserver module for running a http server. I basically use this service as highchart svg creation. After 1-2 days this server become unresponsive. if you try to curl the url..it just timeout.
I read here that it can handle only 10 concurrent request and other requests will be queued up.
So if too many requests come..is it possible that server became unresponsive?

Repeat after me: Don't use the PhantomJS web server to host real workloads. It should at most be used for a single user control channel.

Better yet, don't use PhantomJS at all! It's no longer being maintained.  It's time to move on to another solution to your problem, unless you know enough C++ to fix any bugs you encounter when using PhantomJS (in which case, please contribute them to the community!)

What's the deal with declaring the project dead?  The lead maintainer stepped down a month ago.  This characterization seems a bit premature.

Earlier this year, Vitaly produced a 2.5 pre-release version, so the community could still contribute to and benefit from this project going forward.  There's a lot of people using PhantomJS in a variety of ways.  Others have large code bases and test suites that depend on it.  They'll migrate when they see fit, but that's their prerogative.

It's better to not be so negative about a project.  It risks averting people from doing the important maintenance you suggested.  If you want to promote alternatives, then support those alternatives.  Don't speak harshly of another project.  Free and open source software projects have a difficult enough time as it is finding contributors.
