In my company's application we use socket.io for communicating between the client and the server.  I've been using PhantomJS to load up our webpage and fake a sign-in event using sockets. I was just wondering if PhantomJS even works with socket.io because no matter what I try I cannot get a sign-in event to be sent to our server.

I've done extensive testing and a bunch of research.  It seems like socket.io and phantomJS don't work together, according to this post.  I'm now trying to use another framework alongside PhantomJS called phantom-socketio.  Hopefully this works. If it doesn't, I'll likely throw out the headless browser all-together and try to use socket-io-client in a separate nodejs server to create a socket connection to my company's application server.
