Participating in PES-SoC as a mentor

**Since there is no thread already for participating as a PES-SoC mentor, I will start one with this post.**

I'm interested in participating in PES-SoC as a mentor, I have the following queries :

• Whats the first step I should take (other than IRC - do I need to fill a form or anything of the like? )
• Do I need to propose the idea myself
• Where can I find more information on the SoC program (how things work from the mentor point of view - how many hours am I expected to put in, how many students to mentor, will there be co mentoring of teams)
• Is there a mentors only IRC group (to discuss proposal evaluation and stuff - beagleboard.org has one, so does open street maps)
• Anything else that I'd have to know that slipped my mind?

Mentors, just like students would be required to submit proposals (a different kind) for projects, either for own ideas or for volunteering to mentor a project the community needs/has been working on. 

 

• Where can I find more information on the SoC program (how things work from the mentor point of view - how many hours am I expected to put in, how many students to mentor, will there be co mentoring of teams)

These details aren't finalized yet, we'll announce the requirements of being a mentor in PES-SoC over the weekend.

There could be, but if there is one, it won't be disclosed here :)
