Perian and QuickTime/Subtitle Studio

I was using Subtitle Studo without any problems until my Mac was wiped out for another reason. Since then, neither quicklime, not subtitles studio can play the movies. After converting them to the required format, the voice is not available. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this issue?
