How can I configure the height of the status bar?

Hi all,

Using the 'customize' option of firefox, I dragged some addon buttons and firefox icons on the status-bar. Now they appear on the status bar, but as a result the status bar height increased.

Is there a way to decrease the height of the status bar, forcing the addon icons to appear smaller as well?

Here how it looks now. Notice that the fonts are quite small compared to the height of the bar, but the addons are much bigger, resulting that height.
