From the Telegraph and Times of 6 November 2018: DARWIN Philip Waring Darwin died peacefully at home on 4th November 2018, in his prime, age 89. Beloved brother to Jane and the late Ras, husband to Sue, uncle, great uncle, step-father, step grand-father, cousin and friend to many.

He was s of William Robert DARWIN (1894-1970) by his 1926 m (reg Q2 Yorkshire) to Sarah Monica SLINGSBY (1900-87). He m 1997 (as her 2nd h) Susan (Sue) Mary (1936-1998, formerly Mrs Michael Gemmell) d of Sir Maurice John Pierce LACY 2nd Bt (1900-65) by his 1st w Barbara Primrose d of Francis Edmund Villeneuve RUSSELL-ROBERTS and Constance Ethel PARKER, scion of the GORE-BOOTH Bts. No issue.

Through his father William Robert Darwin(1894-1970),the late Philip was a great-grandson of the eminent Charles Robert Darwin(1809-82),progenitor of the LG family of Downe,plus all the other connections of the latter's Wedgwood wife.
