Victor Bonham-Carter (1913-2007)

Victor Bonham-Carter, writer, farmer and joint secretary, Society of
Authors, 1971-78, was born 13 December , 1913, scion of the LG family
of that name; died 13 March, 2007, aged 93. He was the only child of
the second marriage of General Sir Charles Bonham-Carter, GCB, CMG (d
1955), some-time Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Malta, by his 2nd
wife Gabriele Madge Jeanette, nee Fisher (d. 1962), and was a 1st
cousin of Mark Bonham-Carter, Lord Bonham-Carter, the life baron. he
married (i) 1938 (div 1979) Audrey Edith, dau of Francis Rowe Stogdon,
of Harrow, Middx, by whom he had 2 sons; married (ii) 1979 Cynthia
Claire Sanford, nee Young.
