Mr J.H.D. Peppitt and Miss A.M.F. ffrench Blake
The engagement is announced between John, only son of Dr James
Peppitt, of Bale, Norfolk, and the late Dr Joanna Peppitt, and Alice,
younger daughter of Colonel and Mrs Robert ffrench Blake, of Ibthorpe,
Hampshire.

Alice M F (b 1980) is the dau of Col Robert John William (b 1940, son
of Lt-Col Desmond O'Brien Evelyn FFRENCH BLAKE (1900-ka1943), scion of
that Irish gentry family, and Elizabeth Iris (1909-98, later Mrs
Anthony Hogg) dau of William Henry CARDALE (1868-1926) of Berkeley
Gardens, London W8) and (Hynne) Sabina Mary (b 1950, dau of Capt
Michael Charles EYSTON (b 1923), scion of that gentry family of East
Hendred and - distantly - the Barons STAFFORD, and Eileen Maureen
Hitchmough (dau of Brig Francis Gerard Russell BRITTOROUS CBE DSO MC
(1896-1974) of Longhouse Farm, St Mary Bourne, Hants and Ilynne
(1902-2000, dau of Ernest Chambers HITCHMOUGH of Co. Cork))
