Hello, members - and thanks for being with us through the years.
BrainSilo is officially closing at the end of February.  More details will be coming soon, but much of the equipment that hasn't already been moved to CTRL-H will be moved there.
If you have anything you own at the space, please speak to myself or Dick Temple about arranging pickup.
If you have paid dues for March already, and want a refund, please talk to me.
For all your future hackerspace needs, talk to Dean Pierce or Jon Hannis over at CTRL-H.
Thanks!
Loki - ad...@brainsilo.org

I have a couple books in the mix but I don't really care to recover them,

I would like to grab my cellular RF signal warning sign that is/was screwed into the center post.

Are the bus lockers moving?  If not I'd like one of the stacks.

Any idea if the door code is working? I'm over here ready to move equipment, but no dice.

Also, is today the last day we'll have access? It's a bit unclear.

Jon, not sure where you were when you sent this, but it wasn't at BrainSilo, as I've been there since 2pm.

We have access to the space at least through the end of March, but as I said, you need to speak to myself or Dick about arranging pickup of anything.  After the miscommunications about what you were allowed to take last time, I'd prefer you speak with myself, so things don't unexpectedly disappear.
As BrainSilo is a non-profit corporation, there are limits on what equipment owned by BrainSilo can be transferred to a for profit company, which CTRL-H is.  Much of the stuff already taken the past couple times you've been in the space already is pushing those limits - at the very least, we need to record what gets transferred.

Please don't misunderstand, nothing has been donated to ctrlh. I'll clear this up in person. On my way!

I wholehartedly agree with Loki, The rules for nonprofits are very stringent, and say that property isn't supposed to be transferred to a for profit, I was under the impression that you had a nonprofit setup, and were intending on the place being a nonprofit. I would feel alot better contributing to ctrl + h if it was a nonprofit, with it having a focus on education and community, for much of the same reasons why I don't contribute to ADX. I am not saying that people should be getting free lunch, but that profit motive shouldn't take the priority, over providing a service to the community.

I'm not there currently.  You need to schedule a time to pick things up - that is what I meant by "arrange".  Please call me some time next week to discuss times that may work for both of us.

Ok, I'm here at Brainsilo and am now getting caught up on messages. Next week, huh? Sure, whatever works.

Hey CTRL-H members,

This is the last week for really getting stuff out of BrainSilo, and I haven't heard back from Jon on multiple emails I've sent him off-list.  If anyone would like to take point on working with me to get out the lockers, desks, and various other things CTRL-H could use, that'd be awesome.  Please give me a call to arrange a time to meet at the Silo to pick things up, and don't just show up there - no one is there most the time, and my schedule it pretty tight.

I've been very busy, but tomorrow, Thursday or Friday work. If you can give me a time to be at brainsilo I'll be there. Isaac, are you available to help as well?

What times work best?  Early afternoon (1pm or so) or late evening (7pm or so) works good for me any of those days.  I like to avoid rush hour...
