Hi,

I work for Pinpoint, a consultancy based in Portland, OR. We partnered with Mozilla on a research study to understand how people develop for ubiquitous computing. We want to understand what tools developers use for IoT projects. And, within the tool ecosystem, what’s working well and where there are unmet needs.

I toured CTRL-H last week during the open house. It's a great space! Based on the member community, I thought I'd reach out to see if anyone could recommend developers I could introduce to the researchers on this conducting the study.

We're looking for two types of developers: Professional and hobbyists. We want the people who are actually programming software/hardware for IoT projects or product. Professionals are those who program for a living, even if that means they are working on a side project that they intend to commercialize. Hobbyists are those who write code for an IoT pet project -- something they don't intend to bring to the masses.

In short, we want programmers who are actively working on IoT projects whether for personal gain or enjoyment.

If you know of anyone who fits the bill, we're offering $125 for their participation in a 60-minute interview.

Do you or anyone you know fit the bill? Feel free to forward this message or have people get ahold of me directly. Best contact info is a...@pinpoint.co or 503-382-7994.

Thanks in advance!
-Allison

I'm in Germany this week and in DC the latter part of next, but if you're not in too much of a hurry I'd be happy to participate. A friend and I are bringing an open tech USB device to market in the next couple of months and I have also been involved in other local IoT related projects.
