As the Director of Data Operations at Cloudability you’ll lead a growing data engineering team in day to day operations. You will also have an opportunity to shape the architectural vision of the company as they strive to solve increasingly more complex technical challenges related to real-time analytics. You will be responsible for a data ingestion pipeline and be able to drive new data platform initiatives.

 

Responsibilities include:

 Manage and grow the data engineering team

• Architect scalable and efficient data management processes
• Evaluate and when appropriate integrate new innovative data tools

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to easily identify and troubleshoot problems
• Understanding of key data pipeline and ELT design principles
• Hadoop MapReduce and HBase experience (must have)
• Relational database management and SQL expertise
• Deep knowledge of AWS services like RDS, EMR and S3
• Comfortable with git

Senior Software Engineer

You’ll design and architect the pipeline for data ingested from multiple sources. We are looking for creative, results-driven developer who is excited about big, fast and flexible data.

 

Responsibilities

• Build scalable and efficient data pipeline capable of handling petabytes of data
• Design ETL processes in large-scale environments
• Integrate new innovative Big Data tools into existent architecture
• Leverage Java and Ruby to feed our analytics platform
• Develop efficient, testable and well-documented code
• Able to easily identify and troubleshoot problems
