Annotations not rendering properly

Hello, I'm using WebViewer to render pdfs that I'm hosting into the web browser. However, the annotations already built into the pdf are not rendering correctly. Text elements all have boxes drawn around them (they are just text in the originals), and sometimes the text is sideways. Other elements are not being correctly placed. What's the issue?
