I know I can get a SMS message, but I want an email

You might also be able to refine what you want using ifttt (if this then that) at http://ifttt.com/ with more info here:  https://ifttt.com/wtf

The one thing missing is a tutorial for it's use, but you can find that here: http://www.makeuseof.com/pages/the-ultimate-ifttt-guide-use-the-webs-most-powerful-tool-like-a-pro

thanks.. I do use ifttt for other stuff but it's so transparent to me I never thought of using it for my question below.

No twitter support for that in ifttt
