We are planning a bat mitzvah for a partnership minyan, and I have some questions about the "ptarani m'onsho" bracha.
1) Does your minyan have the parents of a bar/bat mitzvah say the bracha?
2) If yes, does one of the parents need to have an Aliyah - if yes, does it matter which Aliyah? If not, when in tfillah/Torah reading does your minyan have the parents say it?
3) Do you do anything to make this feel like a special moment? Sing a song, say a few words, etc?
Thanks,
Abi
