I hope you all had a wonderful Purim! If you took pictures of your megillah readers in action this Purim, please send them to jo...@jofa.org

We know of at least three partnership minyanim--Shira Hadasha in Jerusalem, Darkhei Noam in NY, and Minyan Shachar in Riverdale, NY-- who recited a verse about Esther aloud at their megillah reading this year. If your community recited a verse about Esther, or discussed whether to add verses this year, we would love to hear about it--which verses you recited aloud, what the community's response was, how the process of addressing this change went, etc.! Please be in touch with us directly, or share your experiences on this listserves.

This year, we were fortunate to receive Rabbi Riskin's halakhic support for this practice a week for Purim. Next year, we hope this practice of reciting verses about Esther will expand into more congregations, and we would love to hear from those of you on the ground about what that process looked like in your communities, or about any suggestions you have for us for next year. Purim is one of the few times of the year that we can take photographs to show the world what a partnership minyan looks like in action. Please take advantage of this opportunity to take some good pictures of your minyan in action and send them to JOFA. We are looking for ACTION shots of people reading megillah or Torah, particularly shots of women and men together on the bima, and of women leading with a mechitza included in the background. Please email photos to jo...@jofa.org

The best pictures will be featured on the JOFA homepage and on our social media pages as the picture representing Purim 2014, and perhaps even partnership minyanim in general in our online and print materials.

We get many requests every year for photos of partnership minyanim, so please help us out by sharing your pictures with us, so we can share them with the world.

Shabbat Shalom!

Rachel
