If you have any pictures of sunsets please feel free to show them off in here!

Although I cannot take credit for this one, I have to say this is one of the best sunsets I have seen...

Hi, Nice topic. I don't have to many sunset shots, but this one qualifies. Sunset on Long Peak at 13,000 feet elevation in the Boulderfield.

Kind of a challenge camping at that altitude, but we had a beautiful night.

Cheers,

Rich

How are the sunsets in the summer?
I'll be in Germany around the beggining of July this year, do you usually get nice sunsets in Berlin, or Mϋnchen?

Ok, here you go:

Sunset from Cadillac Mtn. in Acadia National Park, Maine, USA. August, as I recall. The night had been fantastically windy--40-50 mph easy. It's a rather low-quality scan of a print.
------------------------------------

Sunset from the Oregon coast, somewhere near Newport I think. A road trip with my sister. Well, at least the scenery was pleasant. *snicker*
------------------------------------

My favorite. Sunset from Inismor (largest of the Aran Islands off the west coast of Ireland). This was taken from the deserted south side of the island. My wife and I were like the only people in the universe. It's about as gushy as I get.
------------------------------------

Sunset from Minuan Heights on Achill island, west coast of Ireland. The road to get up to this place is nearly 45 degrees. Felt like the car was going to flip over backward.

cheers

This shot was taken from my flat in Antibes (French Riviera), just before the sunrise. When the atmosphere is dry and cold, the light rays are curved and we can see the Corsica, which is normally under the horizon at about 200km from the coast.

Another sunset from my "sweet home". I like the colors of this one very much.

This picture was taken on the north side of Marrakech.

This one was taken near Ouarzazate, Morocco.

The last one was taken on the Marrakech airport tarmac.

well to post a picture you want to put [igm]http://www.panoramio.com/photos/thumbnail/XXXXXXX.jpg[/img]
but replace the XXXXXXX with 1009862 for this picture. You get that by right clicking on the thumbnail and going to properties. And change that igm at the front to [img]

to insert a link you put in front of the image code and [/ulr] on the back.
^url
Just make sure you spell url not ulr

Here's a couple. The first is a pre-sunrise shot taken in San Mateo of the Crystal Springs Reservoir. This sits right on the San Andreas fault.

The second is a shot of Hobart, Tasmania, looking up at Mt. Wellington. This was taken from the Glebe section of the city.

The last was taken just after the sun came up - it's looking west toward the Pacific ocean with the sun just catching the fog that sits on the San Mateo (California) coast much of the time.

It is quite far, about 1600 km, from the Netherlands to the Arctic Circle but up there, sure, there are periods of the year when the sun never sets, or do not rise above the horizon.
