First thing first.

Have you already read the FAQ in this forum?

There is a section regarding sign-in problems and account access. Please follow the instructions. You will probably need to first delete the new account you have created to post in this forum.
Thanks

Here is the information:

7. My Account.
7.1. I forgot my password, what can I do to regain control of my account?
Go to: http://www.panoramio.com/forgot_password Enter the email address you use to log in to Panoramio. If  you  are not sure what address you have used, you can specify the user identification number instead (the one at the end of the URL of your user gallery). You will now receive an email from Panoramio with further assistance. It’s therefore important that you have access to the e-mail account.
If you are uncertain about the user identification number, you can also find it by finding one of your photos in Google Earth or Maps. Choose to open the photo in a web browser window, then click on your user name under the photo. Your user id is then shown in the url, after www.panoramio.com/user/
(Source for this info).

7.2. I logged into my account, but all my pictures are gone. What has happened?
If you have tried to link your Panoramio account to your Google account, you may have made an extra Panoramio account by mistake. To solve the problem, delete the new account (see 7.5), to free the e-mail address so you can log into the old Panoramio account. You can now try to link the accounts again. If you are using any kind of blocking add-ons for your browser, please unblock any Google servers. This is because Panoramio loads some of its content from Google servers.
(Source for this info).

7.3. I cannot access my account. When I visit my gallery, it seems to have been deleted. Why?
Most likely your account has been deleted by the administrator. There may be several reasons why this has happened. Most often it is because the gallery has been in violation of Panoramio’s Terms of Service (TOS). Sometimes accounts are  deleted because the user has ignored in a severe way the intention and origin of Panoramio, as described in Section 1.2, and in the welcome text in the help page. The acceptance policy for Panoramio photos, defines what kinds of photos are OK.

Accounts that tend to be deleted by the administrators have photo galleries that almost entirely have the following type of content:
  • Social gatherings (conferences, schools, parties, pub, clubs, etc.)
  • Self portraits, people posing and pets.
Accounts with clear TOS and photo policy violations will also be deleted:
  • Advertising (of any type) for services (hotels, various leasing, real estate, etc) and merchandise.
  • Porn or very sexual photos (NSFW)
  • Stolen photos (with or without copyright).
  • Images that are not photos (logos, icons, computer generated images, banners and screenshots).
  • Stolen wallpapers.
  • Accounts (with or without photos) that are used to spread spam, propaganda (religious, political and ideological) and malicious comments in the forum, via PM and photo comments.

If you believe that there has been a mistake, please send an email to [email not in use anymore] explaining the situation with all the relevant details. They may be able to restore your account.

7.4. I deleted the Google account associated with my Panoramio account, now I can’t access my Panoramio account. What can I do to retrieve my account?
Deletion of a Google account associated with a Panoramio account will also delete the Panoramio account. After 72 hours the deletion becomes permanent, so now you must act quickly. First you must recover your Google account. You can use the form you can find at the bottom of this page to do that. When the Google account is recovered and back on-line, the Panoramio account should be back and ready to use. Sometimes this fails. A probable cause for this could be that you may have created a new Panoramio account, with the exact same name as the old one. Panoramio accounts are using case sensitive and unique names. Your new account might be blocking for the return of the old one because it has the same name. If the account doesn’t return, you must create a new one. Be careful with account deletions!

If you wish to remove one or more Google products without deleting your Google and Panoramio account, please visit this page.
(Source for this info).

7.5. I do not want to be a Panoramio member anymore, how do I delete my account?
Go to the Panoramio settings page and delete the account by clicking the link found under the headline “Delete your account”. Deletion of the Panoramio account will not affect your Google account.

7.6. Do I really need a Google account to use Panoramio?
No, you can sign up to and use Panoramio without signing up for a Google account. However, you will not be able to use all the functions of the site without a Google account. Currently, the following functions will be unavailable with only a Panoramio account: Posting in the forum (but you can view it) and Panoramio Groups (see section 6.1.).

7.7. How do I connect my Panoramio account and Google account?
Please read this section of the help on how to do this.

7.8. How do I know when I’ve reached the 2 gigabyte limit? I can’t find any counter.
The 2 gigabyte limit applies only to unmapped photos. For mapped photos there seems to be unlimited storage space. There is no counter visible to users. So far, we have not encountered anyone hitting the limit in any way. Here is a forum thread on this topic.

7.9. For how long can I be inactive on Panoramio before my account gets deleted?
Your account doesn’t have an expiry date, so don’t worry about that.

7.10. Can two Panoramio accounts be merged into one?
No, I’m sorry but that is not possible.

Please read the faq chapter 7.2

Basically, you have to delete your new panoramio account to make your Google account free.
Go to your Panoramio account and sign in with your "old" legacy login. Now you are prompted to attach your PA account with your Google account.

I asume you do remember your former password and the email address you used.

In case your problem is not described in the FAQ part 7. Could you please tell us more specific what problem you encounter. Did you try your old login and it wasn't recognized? Sure you are using the correct password? I hope you can provide us with more details so we can solve this.

Your Google account is still attached to account Slobo_  http://www.panoramio.com/user/7826824

open that Panoramio account (http://www.panoramio.com/user/7826824) and delete it. you can do that in the settings (top right corner click the name "Slobo_" )

After you did that your Google account will be free.

Now open your old account with the microsoft mail. There will be a red box asking you to upgrade to Google account. click that and follow the instructions.

I will ask the program manager to look at the attachments to your original account.  http://www.panoramio.com/user/2747049

somewhere it seems to be attached to a Google account already.

Hi, Slobo_

Sorry you're having trouble signing into your Panoramio account.

I have deleted the unwanted empty Panoramio account you created.

However, I see that you also have a Google account linked to your wanted Panoramio account.  Given this, please log into Panoramio using your Google email address and password (don't use your legacy, older username and password).

If you don't recall which Google account is connected to your Panoramio account, I can look this up for you, but I need you to give me permission to do that. Let me know if that's okay.

Same problem. I can't sign in, even when I have changed the password.

I click 'can't remember password'
I get an email with a link.
I click on the link.
I type in new password twice.
I then try to sign in using the new password.
The same error message comes up.

I have repeated the procedure at least 10 times, but the new password is always rejected.

What do I try next?

I can still look at my account as a visitor,  (panoramio.com/user/752051) but I can't access it by logging in.

Hi there,

Sorry for the problem and the delay in my response (Herman was kind enough to notify me quickly, but I've been away for a bit).

My guess is that you might be trying to log into the wrong place, and I do realize it can be confusing.

Right now, there are two different accounts one can use to log into Panoramio:
1) A "Legacy" account.  These predate Google, and are not Google accounts.  This is the type you have, with your dltb@dani... address.
2) A Google account.  It's possible to upgrade a legacy account to this.

My guess is that you're trying to log in as a Google account user, and that's why it's choking on the username and password.  When you go to Panoramio.com, please click on the small link towards the bottom left for Panoramio users without a Google account.

I've confirmed that your account 2747049 is connected to a Google account, and that Google account email address is your bl*****@hotmail.com

Given this, you need to sign in using your Google account on the main signin page (don't use the alternate signin from the link above).
- Use your hotmail address for the email address
- Use the Google password you selected for your Google account.

If you don't remember that password, go to https://ssl.panoramio.com/forgot_password

That should do the trick.

As long as it´s not a gmail address you can change the primary email address, however you can´t change it to an existing gmail address

So yes, you can change your hotmail address.
No, you can´t change it to slob..@gmail.com, you will have to add a new gmail address.
please read https://support.google.com/plus/answer/1045580?hl=en , that´s where I got the info you just read.

Yes, it looks as though your account has been deleted. This usually happens when the account is used for advertising - eg through the user bio, comments, tags, or watermarks - but there are other causes too - such as a gallery devoted to photos of people.

The panoramio acceptance criteria are described in the help.

Thanks.

Everybody can see it even in the Google cache, the user www.panoramio.com/user/7882752 with the name "mirecreo.com"
has with his name and in the titles of the photos advertising made for a tourist site.

Commercial advertising is prohibited.

The deletion was justified.
Panoramio will not allow the restore of the page.
