I just install Ubuntu 12,04 on my PandaBoard ES Rev B3 following http://omappedia.org/wiki/Ubuntu_Pre-built_Binaries_Guide.
Some how it displays nothing on monitor , it is a hardware issue?

It helps to show the error your getting, but with 98% certainty it's,
something like....

U-Boot SPL 2013.04-00015-gfe81c6a (Apr 24 2013 - 14:35:14)
OMAP4460 ES1.1
SDRAM: identified size not same as expected size identified: 0
expected: 40000000

Which is a software issue, for an eol memory replacement issue, fixed
a couple years ago in u-boot. But never back ported to that ancient
software release, as "pandaboard.org" went "under"..

Which is fixed in mainline u-boot..

Regards,

Also expect some trouble with:

 "New release '14.04.1 LTS' available.
  Run 'do-release-upgrade' to upgrade to it."

I am running headless and was able to update to here:

   VERSION="12.04.5 LTS, Precise Pangolin"
