PANDA Project 1.0 released!

Today we've released PANDA Project 1.0! After eleven months we have arrived at our stable release target.

Highlights of this release include:

• STABILITY! YES, YOU CAN HAVE A PANDA NOW!
• New user-oriented documentation at pandaproject.net.
• No more default user accounts. A setup mode allows you to configure an admin user after installation.
• Search for data within categories.
• Additional metadata for datasets, including "related links".
• Many, many, many bug fixes.

This is a major upgrade and should be used by everyone. If you are an existing beta organization you can follow our upgrade instructions. Organizations new to PANDA can choose from among the supported production install paths.

To reiterate, PANDA is now ready for you to use! If you have been waiting for it to stabilize before using it in your newsroom then now is the time to get started.
