                Manage iSeries hardware/software and 3rd party applications in accordance with Lottery standards and provide support to the
                Technical Services Manager. 
                Duties:
                Performs daily preventative maintenance and administration of multiple iSeries with multiple OS400 partitions.
                Performs installation, maintenance and upgrades of iSeries software and hardware.
                Updates and maintains IBM HMC (Hardware management console) as required.
                Monitors and manages iSeries high availability software and evaluates/mitigates problems as they occur.
                Evaluates new iSeries or PC hardware and software designated by Technical Services Manager.
                Coordinates and works with various vendors on hardware/software maintenance or problems.
                Maintains inventory lists of all iSeries computer.
                Ability and flexibility to be on call - after hours will require immediate attention.
                Assists in the maintenance of policies and procedures used and followed by the Technical Services Manager and IS
                Department Director.
                Skills:
                10+ years Experience with iSeries/AS400 and the OS400 operating system. CL Scripting is a must. Must have a high level
                of understanding in BRMS, Job scheduling using Robot, Tidal and any other 3rd party job schedulers including native job scheduler.
                Must have high level of understanding of PTF upgrade planning and execution. Plus level of SAN storage and fiber tape. Must have
                prior experience performing hardware refreshes. Disaster recovery planning and execution on a high level is a must. Displays the
                ability to plan and perform OS upgrades. SAN, iSeries Connection Software and capacity planning, FTP, Reporting Skills, Analyzing
                Information, Decision Making, Process Improvement, Verbal Communication, Functional and Technical Skills, and Dependability. The
                ability to manage a small team and coordinate weekend activities. Must display the ability to support multiple international
                clients and LPARs. Prior experience working in managed services environment experience is a major PLUS. The ability to evaluate
                daily operational tasks and present them for automation capabilities also a major PLUS. Strong English skill is a must.

                This position requires an extensive background supporting BMC products and specific experience administering the BMC Atrium Orchestrator Suite. This position is part of a solutions planning & engineering team that works closely with other Architecture and support teams to support comprehensive infrastructure solutions.

                Education:

                (UG - Any Graduate) OR (PG - Any PG Course) AND ( Doctorate - Any Doctorate - Any Specialization, Doctorate Not Required)

                Required Experience:

                • Experience supporting the orchestration and ongoing configuring the BMC Atrium Orchestrator Suite.
                • Experience working closely with a UNIX, Linux and Windows server administration teams through the diagnosis and resolution of configuration related issues.
                • Specific hands on experience supporting SUSE and/or AIX in a large (700 servers+ globally) corporate environment. 
                • Must have effective verbal and written English communications skills. Must be able to make sound, timely decisions that have positive impact on the resolution of issues and problems.
                • Must be results oriented. Someone who sets high personal standards and delivers significant business results.
