I've been searching everywhere but I couldn't find the answer to the following question.

What are the limits? How many requests per day?

Thank you in advance

off the top of my head, I think that it was 1500 per minute, it is bursty so you can burst above that and it is based on an average.

In the Google Console you can see, that there is a daily limit of 25.000 requests and a 100 second limit of 100 requests.

I tried to enlarge the limits, but the form is deleted and i can't reach any google support to solve my problem.
I will code a tool, that scans the entire website, not only single pages and therefore i need more that 25k / day.
When i solved the api limits problem or i opened my tool to public, i will let you know.

Greetings
Thorsten

I believe that's called "abuse".

There are paid services that give you a LOT more information.

I am really sorry, but i do not understand, that i first have to pay a monthly fee of 150 € (silver) to get the information, how much i have to pay for more quota...

this sounds wired!!!

Dear Rick,

i need more that 25k / day.

I believe that's called "abuse".

Well, i tried to reach someone who was able to give me a good answer to my question. I even bought silver support.
And all i got was this lousy t-shirt... no just kidding...

One told me, that pagespeed insights api is deprecated, therefore one can not enlarge the daily limit.
The other told me, that i will be billed by cloud service hourly billing fee. But he withdraw his statement and told me to leave a "Feedback" at the pagespeed insights website.

So.. i am still there where i started, but $150 more poor.

Anybody out there, who can help me further? Or even give me a more official statement, that insights website will be shut down too (soon)?
Or does anybody have the source code, that i can rebuild the tests for the recommendations?

Greetings
Thorsten

To whom did you pay 150 dollars/euros that promised you increased PSI API limits?

Is what you paid related to Google Cloud?

Yes it is.
For me it is confusing, where the api "lies"... api console, cloud console with other apis and so on...
so i contacted the "billing" help link and they told me, this is not a billing question, it is a technical question. and it looked for me, that i need a paid support account.
so i thought i need google cloud silver support to get help with pagespeed insights api.
but it looks like, that this isn't true.
perhaps i bought the wrong support.

do you know, who can be asked in this case?

I actually do not know the answer, but I've forward your question to somebody who might.  Sorry for your trouble, but as you've observed, the PSI API is not part of the Cloud offering, as far as I know.

Hi Josh,

did you get an answer from the one who might know?

All effort i've lead to something like "you can't get more quote, because the api is attached to the pagespeed service and this went deprecated nov 15".
And i even got NO answer from the feedback button at pagespeed insights website.

Greetings
Thorsten

Sorry about that.  I tried a few angles but the only thing definitive I got was that there is no program in place to pay for an increase in PSI quota.  The cloud silver service is not related so I hope you will be able to get a refund.  The people i talked to were not clear on how that can be made to happen either.

I would like to clarify one thing: "pagespeed service" (PSS) is not the same thing as PSI. PSS was a service for hosting and accelerating external web sites and that is indeed deprecated, though PSI is not. And neither are Pagespeed Modules, the automated acceleration plugins for Apache and nginx.  PSI and the server module are both in active development.

Ok, thanks for that information. This is like the same i could find out. Sad, but sounds to be the truth.

I could register to the api with many api key to enlarge the quota, but this seems to be odd for me.

Both of them at Google Support, wo which i talked to, said the opposite. This sounds to me, that the PSI project has a "strange" state. Nobody know, that is still under development. And you cannot pay for more quota and nobody answers on the "feedback" button on the website. This sounds like Google is not interested in investing time in these tools.

Well... thanks for help. Now i believe what i found out is fixed and i can go further with the development of my tool.
I would appreciate, if you can have a look and tell me, what you think: https://test-your-google-pagespeed.com

Thank you.

Have a nice weekend

Hi,

At this moment  on my account there are limited quotas for pagespeed insight api:

Only 100 queries per 100 seconds per my account and 25000 requests per day.
Is it possible to enlarge this limits?

Have a nice day,
Sergey

Hi,

It's 2019 now..Do you have a solution now? I am also looking for a way to expand the quota.

Many thanks,

Andrew
