PageSpeed Insights advices to Enable compression on a site which already has compression enabled

Hello there!

How are you. 


where it advices to enable compression, and checking with our hosting provider confirms that it is enabled and checking on this site https://checkgzipcompression.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amarantos.org

confirm that gzip compression is enabled. 

However I would like to understand why Google Pagespeed reports otherwise.

Make sure you're also compressing everything you need to, like css, js, favicon.

Would be be possible for you to point me to a resource which can help me compressing css and Js. I've already minified them though. Thank you.

You are indeed compressing the HTML you serve up for your site, but as Rick mentioned, you need to also compress other assets, like CSS and JS. The is achieved by configuring your webserver to do so. For example, if you're using Apache, you can add the following to your .htaccess file or the server:

Garrett is correct. It needs to be done on the server.
