Rstudio | "use packrat with this project" not shown

I use Rstudio (0.98.1103) and R (3.0.2), and I installed packrat (0.4.3) on my old mac (10.7.5) to perserve all package versions of an analysis that I was running on my old computer.

When I try to open a new project in Rstudio via

File > New Project

it only gives the option "Create a git repository" but NOT "use packrat with this project" as described here: http://rstudio.github.io/packrat/rstudio.html

Am I doing something wrong?

P.S. When I try to do the same on my new mac (10.10.1) with Rstudio (0.98.1103) and R (3.1.3) the option "use packrat with this project" is given.
