Hi bill, I spoke to Dee Litch recently asking her to remove the name of
my son Jack from the Alumni list due to his death in November. She
asked that I drop you a note with some obit info so I am doing just
that. Jack T. Brown Jr., 44, passed away on November 18, 1998 at Morton
Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Fla. After a long illness. He was a 1972
graduate of Pacific Grove High School. He was in sales and most
recently in real estate in the Clearwater and Tampa area in Florida. He
is survived by his son, Joshua of Huntington Beach, CA, and his
daughter, Amber of Redding, Ca., his mother, Marjorie (Smith) Ourth of
Pacific Grove (class of 1952), his father, Jack Brown of Eugene,
Oregon, his brother, Kenneth Brown of Salinas (class of 1974) and his
sister, Marilyn (Brown) Potts of Salinas (class of 1976). Sorry, I
don't have a copy of the obit to send to you so this will have to do.

Peter Dobransky, a longtime Pacific Grove resident, died on Sunday at
Natividad Medical Center. He was 38. Mr. Dobransky was born Oct. 11,
1954, in Frankfurt, Germany. He had lived on the Monterey Peninsula
since 1963 and in Pacific Grove since 1967. He was a graduate of
Pacific Grove High School and had been a gardener for the last 10
years. He is survived by his wife, Eilene; a sister, Mary Page of
Pacific Grove; his mother, Gunhilde Dobransky of Pacific Grove; and one
niece and two nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30
p.m. at the Little Chapel by-the-Sea in Pacific Grove. Following
creamtion, the ashes will be inurned at El Carmelo Cemetery. The Paul
Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests that any
memorial contributions be sent to the donor's favorite charity.

PACIFC GROVE - Mark William Reed Friday, 51, was born October 2, 1953,
and died at his home January 6, 2005. Mark attended local schools,
including Pacific Grove High School and Monterey Peninsula College, and
finished college in Hawaii, where he lived for several years, married,
and maintained an earlier very successful occupation as a painter. In
later years, Mark would become an accomplished finish carpenter and
talented amateur photographer. He enjoyed sports and kicking back with
friends, had played pick-up baseball for several years in Hawaii, and
was an avid golfer. He was a hard worker, dependable and forthright.
Bright, kind, considerate, and fiercely independent to the last, his
family and friends will miss his great sense of humor, infectious
laughter, generous spirit, and quiet heroism. Mark leaves behind
daughters Katherine Jane Cecile and Jessica Ann, mother Ann Hagen,
brother Mike Friday and his spouse Joanne, brother Matt Friday and his
spouse Bruce Carlson, nephews Mike Friday and Mack Friday, and
step-nephew Matt Chamberlain. Family will have a small, private
memorial; no services are pending. In lieu of flowers, the family
requests that contributions be sent to the Director/Administrator,

Martin P. Randall, 43, a lifelong resident of Pacific Grove, died of
complications from diabetes Sept. 18 at Natividad Medical Center. Born

a hotel, apartment and mobile home academy in Fresno. He worked as a

Grove Art Center. He is survived by his wife, Dana; a son, Conor of
Pacific Grove; his father, Martin Randall of Pacific Grove; a sister,
Norma Aristotelous of Modesto; and a brother, John Randall of Modesto.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Little Chapel
by-the-Sea in Pacific Grove. A reception will follow at the Community
Center in Pacific Grove. The Paul Mortuary is in charge of

James Kengi Takasaki, 41, of Honolulu, Hawaii, a business manager and
former resident of Pacific Grove, died Friday at his home. Born Oct.
10, 1954, in Germany, he lived in Pacific Grove, for 20 years, moving
to Honolulu 20 years ago. Mr. Takasaki was a 1972 graduate of Pacific
Grove High School. He was the general manager of Villa Paradiso and
Paradiso Seafood and Grill in the Royal Hawaiian shopping center. He is
survived by his wife, Lori; a son, Sean; and a daughter, Rachel
Takasaki of Honolulu; three sisters, Yumiko Laney and Irene Oshiro,
both of Hawaii, and Shirley Jensen of Pebble Beach; and a brother,
Willie of Pacific Grove. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m.

lived in Salinas for the past 10 years. Mr. Waligora graduated from
Pacific Grove High School. He was a self-employed gardener for more
than 20 years. He loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing
and camping. Even though he was a professional gardener, he also
considered gardening his hobby. Mr. Waligora is survived by two
brothers, Daniel Waligora of Pebble Beach and Peter Waligora of
Seaside; and two sisters, Sue Williams of Oakland and Anne Boyd of
Browns Valley. A celebration of his life will be at 5 p.m. today at
Little Chapel by-the-Sea in Pacific Grove. Paul Mortuary handled

Sandra Dale (Wiley) Shipman

Sandra Dale Wiley Shipman passed away in her sleep on Thursday April 7,
2005. January 14, 1956 marked a beautiful day that Sandra was born to
Helen Stark and Norman E. Wiley in San Diego, CA. Sandra lived as a
devoted daughter as well as a loving mother to her three children:
Sarah Shipman Comer, Ashley Shipman and Chance Shipman. Sandra follows
her younger sister Donna Wiley who passed away in November of 2004 and
is survived by her older sister Linda Becker. The other love of her
life was her fiancee Patrick Garrison who for many years brought
immense joy and happiness into her life. Services will be held on
Thursday April 14 at the mission mortuary in Monterey California.
Viewing will begin at 11 am and the service will follow at 1 pm. As a
last request, Sandra would want everyone to celebrate her life rather
than mourn her death. She was an amazing woman with a wonderful heart
and a fulfilled life. She will remain in our hearts forever.
