ABAC in OZP?

Back in 2014, comparing OZP to HTML5 (https://github.com/aml-development/ozp-iwc/wiki/Html5Comparison), the developer mentioned ABAC:

"IWC has been developed and included in the Ozone Platform to provide additional security through ABAC (Attribute Based Access Control). This enables the IWC to check specific attributes of each users and restrict access to data the user is authorized to view."

Is this valid now?  If so, how does it work?  i.e. how to you enter the "specific attributes of each user" and check those attributes within IWC?  If not, is it planned for a future release?
