NSW Archaeologist required

On Site Cultural Heritage Management Pty Ltd specialises in Aboriginal and historic cultural heritage management and archaeology. On Site CHM operates out of Narooma on the NSW south coast and out of Darwin in the Northern Territory. 

 

Due to an increasing number of projects, I am looking to subcontract a mid-level archaeologist to undertake and assist with upcoming NSW Aboriginal heritage project work for 2017. Project work will include fieldwork, research and preparation of reporting.

This opportunity will suit an archaeologist based in the south eastern NSW / ACT area. I am looking for a person with sufficient NSW experience to conduct fieldwork, excavations and prepare reporting for Aboriginal heritage projects to meet NSW OEH Aboriginal Heritage reporting requirements with limited guidance from the principal. A current Australian drivers licence and vehicle is essential.

 

This would suit a person able and willing to travel for fieldwork as required and wanting flexible work arrangements (such as working your own hours and from their current location).

 

Experience with the identification and analysis of stone artefacts would be viewed favourably.
