Due to growing popular demand, the Department of Environment, Water and Natural resources (DEWNR) has extended the deadline of the Sea Pixels on-line Maritime Heritage photographic competition until Friday, 28th of April.
The competition aims to raise awareness of South Australian historic shipwrecks and maritime heritage resources, and to build a visual library of South Australia’s maritime heritage sites. More than 100 images have already been received, but DEWNR is looking for more!
All South Australians are encouraged to enter by submitting high quality photographic images and videos of their favourite shipwrecks and maritime heritage resources under and above the water. Winners of each of the eight available categories will receive a certificate of recognition, and the overall winner and People’s Choice Award winner each taking home a $450 accommodation voucher – valid for the use for a short stay at selected historic cottages, quarters and huts in national parks.
