Hi there,

I hope I can find someone that has had the same issue I'm having as I'm getting a bit desperate! I have been working with the same OSXFUSE set up for weeks now, but all of a sudden it just doesn't work.

Here's my set up at work:
I have a CentOS VM where I have all my files. All I do everyday is start my VM in Virtual Box, and connect to it using the following command: "sshfs myname@myvm:/var/www /Volumes/www".  And then I just ssh with my user and password and that's it. That simple.

The problem
One day, I come back lunch and I see that the VM has disconnected for some reason.
From then on when I try to mount my volume I get the following message: "remote host has disconnected".
After a while, I get a second error message that reads "mount_osxfusefs: failed to mount /Volumes/www@/dev/osxfuse0: Socket is not connected"

I've removed OSXFUSE, updated it, removed sshfs, reinstalled everything and I'm just not able to make it work.

To see whether the issue may be caused by the VM, I've installed ExpanDrive and mounted the VM in my mac. Unfortunately this isn't a solution since the VM runs Git and Sass and needs to be accessed by other colleagues.

I hope to find someone that may have runned into the same issue and can help me.

I'm running OSX 10.6.8

Thanks in advance

+1 here - was using osxfuse/sshfs successfully for weeks, maybe months, and then instability started just this past week.

Server is Ubuntu 12.04, client side is Mac Mini running up to date Mavericks.

Haven't had the time to look into this further, unfortunately.

Hi there,

In the end I installed sshfs using homebrew. I wrote a post on my blog, unfortunately it's in Spanish, but Google Translate seems to have done a fairly accurate translation: http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=es&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=es&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jesusherman.com%2Fblog%2Fgeneral%2Fmontar-sshfs-en-os-x-mavericks%2F&edit-text=&act=url

Hope it helps!
