Docker Containers

I am a little unfamiliar with Docker but am curious what types of
monitoring options are available? As in can ossec run file check
integrity on the container from the host OS?

Also assuming that running OSSEC from the container would just monitor
the container as if it was its own OS? Am I thinking correctly here?
