JavaScript Functions: Is it possible to load external libraries?

I am pretty new to JavaScript, although I find it a blessing to have it as a choice for developing embedded functions on OrientDB.

I wonder if there is a way to use any external library within these functions... What implementation of JS is OrientDB using? Does the runtime environment allow for loading libraries?
