Dear Walk+Bike Network,

Are you coming to the Active Transportation Summit or will you be in Portland on 4/21?

You're all invited to the Oregon Safe Routes to School Meet and Greet!

When:  Monday, April 21st at 7:30pm
Where: the Lotus Room in Portland
Please RSVP so we know how much space to get.

Here's why you should come:
  • We are meeting at 7:30 at the Lotus room and the Summit after-party starts at 8:30 at the Lotus room. You don't need to register for the Summit to dance the night away (on a school night!).
  • Our very own Shane MacRhodes and Robert Ping are presenting "Healthy beginnings – Or how to build active transportation into your community by starting with kids" at the Summit!
  • Kari Schlosshauer is leading a walking tour on Tuesday (also at the Summit)! See the whole program.
If you can't make this event and are bummed, don't worry!  You should totally come to the Oregon Safe Routes to School Conference July 26-28!  Click here for more info. Travel scholarships are available!

p.s. All Portlanders may also be interested in a free, family friendly Spring Kick-Off event coming up this Saturday, April 12th at Earl Boyles Elementary (10822 SE Bush). The Spring Kick-Off will help get bikes rolling and decorated for spring and summer riding, get heads in low-cost helmets, and pump everyone up about walking and being active on the way to school. More info.
