Dear All,

I am trying to send OBD2 commands to scan the Vehicle for DTC and etc.

I decided first to try basic stuff through the android app.

I sent Message ID 0x7df mode 0x1 and PID empty and then pic 0x0c.

But i dont get any response, i tried it on both buses.

The vehicle is a Ford ranger 2015 type 9 firmware.

Can some one advise?

thanks

Hi Nadeem,

In order to send diagnostic requests, you need to have a firmware that allows commands to be sent. The type9 only reads the OpenXC standard CAN signals. You will want to try the obd2 firmware available from the github releases

Hi Nadeem,

Which firmwares did you try? Your PID combination should work. Can you share a screenshot of what you get out of Enabler or from python?

Eric
