GM- Write Android app to control HVAC

Hi. I am new to Android development. I'm familiar with CAN though. I want to write an Android app that can control HVAC controls on a GM car. I believe it should run on GMLAN. Does OpenXC support something like this?

I have no knowledge of GM-LAN, but I think it is the ISO 15765-2 standard which is what OpenXC supports (https://github.com/openxc/isotp-c). Yes, you can do diagnostic requests or CAN writes. You will need to identify the CAN IDs or diagnostic requests on your own though.
