I got the released pre-built firmware which runs great on my Mac and car. But when I connect via usb to my Ubuntu 16.04, always get one red light on the device and also

"Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/local/bin/openxc-dump", line 11, in <module>
    load_entry_point('openxc==0.13.0', 'console_scripts', 'openxc-dump')()
  File "/usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/openxc/tools/dump.py", line 35, in main
    source = source_class(callback=receive, **source_kwargs)
  File "/usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/openxc/sources/usb.py", line 69, in __init__
    raise DataSourceError("No USB vehicle interface detected - is one plugged in?")
openxc.sources.base.DataSourceError: No USB vehicle interface detected - is one plugged in?
"

Any help please?

Which pre-built firmware do you have in the device?

I haven't used the USB functionality on Linux. When you say it works on your Mac, is that via USB or Bluetooth?

Regards,
Eric

It's via USB. I have

vi-firmware-type3-FORDBOARD-ctv7.2.0-csv7.0.0.bin in the device.

Any help please?
