python dependency for tcollector

I have tcollector running on a linux machine which has python 2.4. I am planning to upgrade the python version from 2.4 to 2.7. I would like to know is there any dependency for tcollector (or will it break) if i upgrade the python version.

I can't tell for 2.7 but I have RHEL servers running with Python 2.4 and 2.6, using newest tcollector version without poblems.
