Hello OTM users,

We don't normally post messages on this list that aren't directly related to the OTM open source code. However, TreeMapLA.org (one of the maps on the OpenTreeMap.org Cloud) has a high profile opportunity that stands a chance of getting funding, and if so part of the money would go directly toward adding and improving OpenTreeMap features. With a bit of your help, this might happen, and it stands to benefit the entire OTM community, which is why we're sharing it.

TreeMapLA and TreePeople (the organization behind it) are in competition for a $100,000 vote-based grant from the Goldhirsh Foundation's LA2050 initiative. If you are interested in helping them get there, they would really appreciate your vote on the site (http://myla2050live.maker.good.is/projects/TreeMapLA) by the Monday, September 16th deadline. Also, they've sent along some social media posts if you are interested in sharing those as well:
