External link setting

where will be added the external link? can you explain how it works?

says:

Specify an external link to be placed at the top of the tree detail page.

i cannot see nothing in detail page of trees

Hi Nico,

The external link appears at the top of the tree detail page, and there is a setting on the Roles management page (/management/roles/) to set which user groups are able to see the external link. The attached screenshot shows the link at the top of the page (Check out this great tree site).

The external link can be set on the /management/external-link/ page. The management page functionality is available in the most recent OpenTreeMap release.

Firebug console doesn't give me errors but i cannot save the changes in rules page

In the network tab, can you see an AJAX request being sent when clicking the “Save” button?

Also, you should really stop using Firebug, and stick to the built-in developer tools instead, as Firebug is now deprecated: http://getfirebug.com/

The code is expecting $(dom.roleIds).data(‘roles’) to return a string. If it is returning something else (like a list) then you will see that message. For example:

Are you able to set a breakpoint on the failing line and inspect what the value of $(dom.roleIds).data(‘roles’) ?
