Hello,
FYI: I've split the "old" sportdb gem into two gems, that is,
sportdb-models and sportdb. Why?
You can now (re)use the sport.db schema 'n' models with the "new"
sportdb-models gem[1] without pulling in addons (e.g. sportdb-service,
sportdb-update, etc.) or the command line tooling (and all its extra
dependencies).
The good news: You can continue to use the sportdb command line tool
with the "new" sportdb gem. What's different? The "new" sportdb gem[2]
now depends on sqlite3 and, thus, will also install the sqlite3
machinery on a first install.
As always best to try it out yourself e.g. build yourself a World
Cup 2014 copy, for exampe, type:
$ sportdb new worldcup2014
Make sure to update the sportdb gem first e.g.
$ gem update sportdb
Or if you're a first time use install the sportdb gem e.g.
$ gem install sportdb
All should work as before (and, of course, better and faster ;-). Cheers.
