Dear users,

We are experiencing some issues with the availability of the daily CIF File & are investigating, as a result subscribers will not be able to download the correct CIF File for today until further notice.

Reason: We haven't received the new CIF file from Network Rail.

Apologies for any inconvenience.

Kind regards.

All,

Please be aware that the upstream issues with the CIF files have been resolved.

Tonight’s CIF file will be processed as normal and will contain the data changes from both Monday night and tonight.

Apologies for any inconvenience.

Kind regards

Hi there

Please could you clarify.  Does this mean either:

1)  Mondays file has been skipped, and all data from Monday and Tuesday is in the Tuesday file.
Or
2)  Both Mondays and Tuesdays files are processed and available as separate files.

I have code which checks the sequence numbers, and this is still reporting that Mondays file is not available.
>> Out of sequence file reference, expected last file ref = DFROC1F, encountered DFROC1Y

This suggests that it is (1) above.
In general (2) would be preferable as (1) means manual changes must be applied by downstream users to override automated sequence checks.

Thanks

Chris

Yes, I've just run this as a test against my new timetable engine to see what would happen and it's seeing the sequence numbers out of sync - DFROC1G isn't there:

As part of this test I did download again the Monday update file and it did ignore it (so it's showing last weeks data), so at least that part worked :-)

Anyhow I'm presuming it's #1 but I think we do need confirmation that DFROC1H does include all updates from the 22nd as well.

Not certain where you got DFROC1Y from?

By the way, the JSON file is missing again this morning, I guess the double update didn't get through?

It is indeed #1, and we can confirm that the DFROC1H does include all updates from the 22nd.

We can confirm that the JSON file has not been produced due to the issues with the CIF header.

The tomorrow's JSON file should contain all of the missing updates.

Apologies about any inconvenience caused.
