Wondering whether anyone could provide some insights into this.

When running a query on the historic service performance data for trains between 0700 and 0800 between Richmond (RMD) and London Waterloo (WAT), I've been getting some services which have both the origin_location and destination_location as Waterloo (WAT).

What are these services, and why are they appearing?

Thanks!

Example below:

Hi James

These are service which start and terminate at London Waterloo, such as those calling at stations to Barnes, then either going via Hounslow, Twickenham and back to Waterloo, or via Twickenham, Hounslow and back to Waterloo.  There are also other 'circular services' on SWR and Merseyrail, and others too that I'll have missed.

They're advertised on departure boards at stations with a false destination which changes according to the station you're at.
