Hi,

I understand that MMI-based fragility/vulnerability has not been supported yet, but I noticed that example in the oq-manual v1.7 (page 114) shows MMI-based vulnerability function. Can you clarify whether MMI-based function is supported or not?
Thanks.

Regards,

Hyeuk

Hi Hyeuk,

MMI-based fragility/vulnerability functions are supported. With the new schemas for fragility and vulnerability models introduced with NRML v0.5, you can also use different IMTs for different functions in your model. You will only need to ensure that the hazard inputs used for the risk calculation are defined for all of the IMTs used in the fragility/vulnerability model.

Hi Anirudh,

Thanks for your kind reply. Is the OQ able to generate ground motion filed in MMI or user needs to convert or create elsewhere?
Thanks.

HI Hyeuk,

As of now, OpenQuake has one built-in Intensity Prediction Equation: the Allen, Wald & Worden (2012) equation for MMI.

The most up-to-date list of implemented ground shaking intensity models is maintained here: http://docs.openquake.org/oq-hazardlib/master/gsim/index.html

Also Dowrick & Rhoades (2005) is an IPE, albeit mostly for New Zealand (http://docs.openquake.org/oq-hazardlib/master/gsim/dowrickrhoades_2005.html)
