OpenOLAT 12.4 released

Dear OpenOLAT community

The OpenOLAT 12.4 release is an iterative evolution of the 10.x, 11.x and 12.xrelease series. You can download it from here: http://www.openolat.org/downloads.html

The most important highlights are: 

• With the new license management a list of predefined licenses can be used to define the copy-rights such as createive-commons or copy-right licenses associated with various kind of data objects
• Licenses can be assigned to files, learning resources or test items, e.g. to indicated OER licenced learning content
• Search for objects of a given license type in the full-text search or in the author environment 
• New grading workflow in assessment tool with greatly enhanced usabiliy and more features
• Override auto-corrected test items with manual scoring and add comments for the students
• Mark test items for later review to get a comprehensive overview of the test results of your students
• Test items of type essay will now use a fixed-width font and allow using the tab key for simple formatting. This adds great value to both usabiltiy and supported usage scenarios
• New question type "true/false" where the user has to answer an array of multiple true/false questions
• Improved workflow when work on e-portfolio assignments
• New questionnaire data type "file upload" for special purpose questionnaires or simplified scenarios in e-portfolio questionnaires
• Simplified e-portfolio tasks by disabling unnecessary features in e-portfolio templates
• More disclaimer options to better support DSGVO
• Various security related enhancements
• With 12.4 Onyx support has been discontinued

OpenOLAT 12.4 is the best and most secure OpenOLAT release yet and we recommend installing it as soon as possible for all OLAT and OpenOLAT users.

If you rather prefer cloning from the repository, make sure you clone from the 12.4 maintenance repository and not from default: http://hg.openolat.org/openolat124
