Hi everybody,

I’m toying with the idea of changing the above mentioned terms in OpenOLAT. „Close course“ would be the course function in the course itself, while „Modifications“ is the term next to the subscription button.

We’ve been experiencing some trouble with the close function ever since we introduced OO10 with the new course settings menu. It seems that for some users, the close function is the equivalent to closing the tab for this session. In order to prevent more courses from being inadvertently closed for everybody, I would like to change the term from „Close“ to e.g. „Deactivate“, respectively „Deaktivieren“ in german. I think that would be accurate, and easier to understand.
What do you think?

„Modifications“ (DE: Änderungen) next to the subscription button used to be „Modifications: Subscribe“ (Änderungen: Abonnieren), but we had to shorten it with the introduction of OO10. I would like to change it to either just „Subscribe“ (Abonnieren) or perhaps a more playful approach with „Notify me!“ (Benachrichtige mich!) - with or without the exclamation mark.

Now, before I make any changes, I would very much appreciate any comments, feedback, ideas or input on that.

Thanx in advance,
Kirsten
