Adding optimization to openjdk

Hi All,

 We and my team need to add a compiler optimization to the openjdk6 source code, like some changes to constant propagation or common subexpression elimination. Can someone just help me out how to see our changes reflected in the source code.

If you are looking for ideas how to better implement your requirements,
then can you please give more details about the task (maybe some links
to these required features in other languages)?
