Hi, I'm interested in defining an intent to allow apps that change the ringer volume to notify other apps that respond to ringer volume changes when they are about to do so.  This would give the responding apps a chance to decide whether to respond to or ignore the volume change (for example, many apps define "profiles" based on time, location, etc. and when these profiles are triggered, they perform actions, such as silencing or restoring the ringer volume).  An app that listens for volume changes could decide to ignore volume changes if they follow that intent within, say, a few seconds.

I wanted to see if there was something like this on openintents.org, but the web site appears to be down, or to no longer exist.  Is this just a temporary server problem, or is this community no longer maintaining that registry of intents?

It is a tempory server problem. Sorry for that. It might be good time to give suggestion how to improve the registry.
