The OpenElections Project is looking for a part-time Python programmer to help our Knight-funded effort to liberate election data from across the country. The role involves:
* Writing code to obtain, transform and output election results data in different formats
* Helping volunteer coders integrate their work into our data processing system
* Work with the core team to extend/refine the data processing system
* Help build a website to provide easy access to data for the public
The ideal candidate will have solid Python programming chops, experience with MongoDB and an interest in open data. Front-end coding skills are a bonus. This is a part-time, contract position with a target of 15-20 hours per week. Hourly fee is commensurate with experience.
