New operational transform standalone library API

I'd like to announce a new project part of OpenCoweb: a JavaScript exposure to the operational transform (OT) engine API. Whereas the OpenCoweb project provides an OT algorithm and API coupled with Java and Python servers, the new OT library API provides a standalone JavaScript interface to operational transform. The OT library is currently being developed and will be released as a stable version alongside the next stable OpenCoweb release (v0.8.3.1).

The OpenCoweb project will no longer maintain the code for its operational transform, but will instead include the standalone OT library as its operation engine. There will be no impact for users for OpenCoweb, except that the GitHub tarball downloads of tagged releases will no longer be valid (from v0.8.3.1 and onwards). Instead, we will begin uploading complete tarballs of stable OpenCoweb releases at the GitHub download section.

The new OT library exists as a GitHub repository called coweb-jsoe. Up to date documentation is published here. Post any issues to the GitHub coweb-jsoe issue tracker.
